Dear participant,

Thank you very much for taking part in the lifestyle survey.

The ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences is investigating the different lifestyles and energy habits in your building. The aim is to develop measures that are optimally tailored to the needs of the residents.

The study is being conducted as part of the ‘Climate-Positive Living’ project and is funded by the EKT Foundation.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, during which we will ask you questions about your behaviour, attitudes and everyday preferences.

Data use and data protection

  • The data collected will only be used for scientific, non-commercial research and teaching.
  • Selected socio-demographic data is collected and processed (e.g. gender, year of birth). These are anonymised and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.
  • Your data will be treated as strictly confidential and anonymous and will remain with the ZHAW. The statistical analyses are anonymised. Only completely anonymised data that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally will be published (e.g. in scientific journals) or shared with other researchers or project partners for scientific purposes.
  • Your personal data and all data collected in the study will be stored with the utmost care and protected from access by third parties. Your data will be stored in a secure online database to which only the participating researchers have access. For the analyses, the data is also stored on ZHAW servers in Switzerland. Only researchers who are directly involved in the project and need the data to fulfil their tasks have access to your data. Data will not be transferred or processed in countries outside the European Union and Switzerland (so-called ‘third countries’).
